DAMIEN - OMEN 2/Kirous/FIx/cut 40 sec. The shortened scenes are the drowning of the little boy, some ugly hypothermia-shots, the scene where the elevator's wire cuts the black doctor in half is heavily shortened, and a couple of frames of the stabbing in the end. NOTE: The Finnish dvd-version (with a K18-rating) is uncut, and widescreen.

DARK ANGEL/Musta Enkeli/FI/K16/cut 1 min 59 sec. This enjoyable Dolph Lundgren sci-fi actioner (probably his best movie after "The Punisher") has heavy trimming courtesy of the distributor. The cuts include: *The shooting of Ray Turner is trimmed from a few bullet hits. *In the bar, the CD-disc slitting the thugs' throats, has all the gory slits cut out. *The endorfin-sucking of the man in the car place has been shortened to remove a close-up of Talec's face, and two close-ups of the hose on the victim's chest; a close-up of the victim's head, plus the spike coming out of Talec's hand, and him preparing the stab the victim's head with it, have been cut out for some reason; also the panning shot of the spike sucking the endorfin out has been trimmed that it cuts in after the frame exits the victim's head. *The endorfin-sucking of the mechanic woman has lost the hose plunging on her chest, a shot of the woman looking terrified, and a close-up of Talec's face; the hose plunging out of her chest is also removed; Talec then stabbing her head and sucking the endorfin out is completely removed! Also, when the next scene cuts in, few seconds of the coffee flowing on the tubes has went away, courtesy of sloppy editing. *Smith kicking a guard thug on the nuts when escaping him, is cut out. *Talec shooting a police patroller's driver has lost the police man's throat gushing blood, and a shot of the police patroller squirming around prior to it crashing. *When Caine (Lundgren) shoots Talec, shotgun blasts are deleted, thus we now see none of the blasts actually hit Talec. *Caine beating Talec with a crowbar has been shortened from four hits to two. *Talec returns the favor, as him punching Caine is shortened from six punches to three. *The scene where Caine struggles with Talec's hose is cut almost 20 seconds (!), which mostly just includes Caine struggling with the hose which is trying to get to him (the hose needle piercing Caine's cheek is left intact!). I don't have a single clue why the scene is cut, but it is. *The close-up of the hose plunging on Talec's neck is removed, as well as the close-up of Talec ripping it out of there. *Some frames of Talec getting speared with the pipe (with white blood, yikes!) are removed, along with close-ups of Caine, and a close-up of Talec screaming in pain. *After the woman rans down to wake up Smith, a low-angle shot of the speared Talec screaming is substituted with a previously shown close-up of Talec's face screaming (the image has also been slowed down, that the soundtrack could stay intact). *Talec "going in pieces" is cut a few seconds. NOTE: The Finnish theatrical version (with a K18-rating) was not cut. The British cert.18-videoversion is uncut.

DARKMAN/FI/K16/cut 25 sec. Trimmed for an K16-certificate: 1.The murder attempt on Dr. Westlake (Liam Neeson) is shortened. 2.Westlake snaps a man's fingers in the theme park...or rather doesn't. 3.The scene where Westlake beats the long-haired criminal, is shortened. NOTE: The Finnish cinema-version was uncut (rated K18 at the time). The British cert.18-videoversion is cut 2 seconds; the shot of Eddie Black's henchmen walking towards Durant's thugs, has lost a blonde henchman twirling nunchucks (strangely, a shot of red nunchucks appearing just in a moment on the film is left intact). The Swedish videoversion is cut. The Finnish dvd-version (widescreen, rated K16) was passed uncut on the violence in Finland, but it contained the nunchuck-cut, pre-cut courtesy of the BBFC. Damn!

DAY OF THE COBRA/Cobra - Vaarallinen Mies/FI/K16/cut 1 min 18 sec. Well, ain't it a bitch, that even Italian exploitation crime thrillers, like this excellent one directed by the genre maestro, Enzo G. Castellari, can't be passed uncut. The cuts include; 1.The fight between the sleazy detective (Franco Nero [Who else?]), and the transvestite (!), is severely cut. 2.The sleazy detective shooting a thug up the balls, is deleted. 3.The fight in the barn, is shortened. 4.The bodyshot of the thug falled from a window, is cut. 5.The sleazy detective burying an axe to the bossbaddie's stomach, is cut.

DEAD & BURIED/Kuolleet Ja Haudatut/FI/K16/cut 4 min 27 sec. The notorious distributor Showtime did their "duty", and therefore the cuts in this creeper include - 1.The beating and burning of the photographer in the beginning. 2.Investigating the cause of death in the auto wreck (has lost the bloody-faced photographer screaming!!!). 3.The beating and the killing of the drunk in the harbor (poorly cut!).4.The "needle-in-the-eye"-murder in the hospital (extremely poorly cut!). 5.The scene where the police man studies the seperate hand in the front of his car (horribly poorly cut!). 6.The head-crushing of the hitcher girl with a rock (poorly cut of course!), plus some morgue-material. NOTE: The British cert.18-videoversion is (of course!) cut (totalling 30 seconds): the burning of the photographer is reduced, the "needle-in-the-eye" has lost the most graphic shot, and the head-crushing of the hitcher girl has a sound cut (the impact sound-fx of the rock bashing the girl's head is no more). The British cert.18-videoversion 1999 re-release (by 4 Front) has been reported uncut, but it's not; the sound-fx cut of the hitcher girl's murder is still present.

DEAD CALM/Rasvatyyni/FI/K16/cut. The Finnish dvd is the same as the German dvd, which has been cut by the German censor (for a 'FSK 16' rating) for some nudity, Billy Zane getting shot with a harpoon is trimmed, and the flare in the mouth finale has been cut. NOTE: The Finnish K16-rated videoversion is uncut.

DEADLY FRIEND/Kauhu Asuu Naapurissa/FI/K16/cut 6 min 46 sec!!! This is a complete torso, as everybody sees. The cuts at least include the scene where a woman's head is crushed by a basketball, and get this, the WHOLE ending of the movie (the boy going to the morgue, and the girl's corpse in there ripping apart, and the robot coming out) is cut out completely!! Woo-hoo. NOTE: The Finnish videoversion re-release is the same disembowled version. The Finnish cinema-version (rated K18!) was cut 7 seconds by VET. The US version rated 'R' is cut. The British version certified '18' is uncut.

DEAD POOL/Likainen Harry Ja Murhapooli/FI/K16/cut 3 min 26 sec. Cuts applied by the distributor. NOTE: The Finnish dvd-version (widescreen) is uncut, and with a K18-rating. The Finnish theatrical version is uncut, and rated K18. The British cert.18-videoversion (and the recent dvd also) is cut 12 seconds. The Swedish videoversion is cut 2 minutes 20 seconds.

THE DEAD ZONE/Viimeinen Yhteys - Dead Zone/FIx/cut 31 sec. The scene where the murderer commits suicide in the bathroom has been shortened from the aftermath. NOTE: The Finnish dvd-version (widescreen, with a K15-rating) is uncut. The British cert.15-videoversion has been pre-cut 13 seconds by the distributor from the murderer's suicide aftermath (the cert.18-videoversion has this scene intact).

DEATH RACE 2000/Kalmanralli 2000/FIc/K18/cut 8 min 29 sec. In the old days of the 70's (in 1976, to be exact), this excellent flick came to the Finnish theatres, and VET did a horrible trimming to it. Pretty much all the hit-and-runs have been deleted, this includes the hit-and-run of the nurses, the mechanic, the fisherman, the "toro toro" guy, and so on. Also the scene where the pedestrian-scores are told, and the fight between Machine Gun Joe (Sylvester Stallone) and Frankenstein (David Carradine) had the hacking. NOTE: The FIx-version is uncut! The Finnish dvd (rated K18) is also uncut and contains a full frame (4:3) image, which as far as I know, is the original aspect ratio.

DEATH RING/Ihmismetsästys/FI/K16/cut 22 sec. Few fights have been shortened, the scene where a fork is hit to a hand is shortened (good editing, though), and Billy Drago's decapitation with a machete in the end of the movie is no more. NOTE: The British cert.18-videoversion is cut 8 seconds. The Netherlands' video is uncut.

DEATH WARMED UP/FI/K16/cut 6 min 12 sec. No cuts by VET, or the distributor, but the master version is already a cut one. The cuts include Howell injecting Michael, Michael blasting his parents with a shotgun, ugly bodyshots, the operation performed by Dr. Howell is missing some head drilling and other gory stuff, Michael and his friend beating thugs, Munro's head exploding, a spike going through a biker and another biker removing his body from the spike, shot of the dead biker, bashing a guy's head, shots of a guy bleeding from the throat pretty graphically, a girl injecting a needle to Sandy's arm and then pulling it off (the needle, that is), a guy and then a girl burning (heavily cut), a nurse stabbed with scissors squirming around in the floor, shooting a guy to the stomach, another gory operation scene with head drilling etc, Michael stabbing Howell over and over again, an axe to the stomach, a shot of a bleeding axed corpse, and Michael eletrocuting in the end of the movie. NOTE: The British cert.18-version is cut 54 seconds. The Australian video is heavily trimmed.

DEATH WARRANT/Lupa Tappaa/FI/K16/cut 2 min 24 sec. We would like more info about the details of the cuts, but at least the death of Patrick Kilpatrick is very poorly (and therefore funnily) shortened. First Kilpatrick's character mumbles that he's immortal, and woosh!, he's suddenly dead in the next shot!

DEATH WISH/Väkivallan Vihollinen/FIx/cut 1 min 1 sec. The rape of Kersey's family is shortened; we don't see the thugs (one of 'em is Jeff Goldblum is his debut!) ripping mother, and daughter Kersey's clothes off, and paint their asses with red spray-paint. NOTE: The Finnish dvd is uncut, rated K18, and matted anamorphic widescreen. FIx-version released by VCM (above) is uncut. The British cert.18-videoversion has been cut 29 seconds from the rape (fondling, some nudity, and daughter Kersey's ass being sprayed). The US dvd-version rated 'R' is uncut and matted widescreen.

DEATH WISH 2/Väkivallan Vihollinen 2/FIx/cut 1 min 28 sec. The rape of the maid is very heavily cut, almost reduced to nothing, and a shot of a dead thug in a fence has also vanquished. NOTE: The Finnish dvd (rated K18, matted anamorphic widescreen) is completely uncensored, but as almost all versions, misses out about a minute and a half of dialogue, and narrative scenes (the Brazilian dvd is the same). The British cert.18-videoversion is extremely heavily cut (3 minutes and 42 seconds)!!! The cuts are as follows: 1.The shot of the maid's trousers being removed is now itself removed. 2.Cutter licking the maid has vanquished. 3.Jiver getting his trousers off, and raping the maid has been very heavily cut (using alternative takes). 4.Punkcut and Cutter raping the maid has been completely cut out! 5.Stomper raping the maid has been trimmed (alternative takes in use again). 6.The maid crawling, and Nirvana ramoving his trousers, are completely gone missing. 7.The death of the maid is several shots shorter. 8.The rape and death of daughter Kersey is extremely heavily cut and re-edited, thus deleting the entire scene almost completely. The American R-rated version is cut from the rape. The US unrated video released by GoodTimes Homeo Video has daughter Kersey spitting blood when she commits suicide cut. The Greek video is completely uncut and uncensored, with all of the violence plus missing dialogue/narrative scenes intact.

DEATH WISH 3/Väkivallan Vihollinen 3/FIx/cut. The distributor has cropped a shot of a woman being raped. In the FIx-version, we only see her chest and head, while in the uncensored version, the whole body is visible. NOTE: The British cert.18-videoversion is cut 13 seconds: the rape is shortened by 6 seconds, and during the street war, a sight of gang members carrying a struggling (almost) naked woman is missing.

DEATH WISH IV: THE CRACKDOWN/Väkivallan Vihollinen 4/FI /K16/cut over 7 min. The notorious distributor Showtime cut this absolutely one of the best Cannon action flicks to pieces. The cuts include the entire Kersey's dream-sequence (which runs when the credits appear) which includes thugs trying to rape a woman, and Kersey blasting them. The end of the scene where Kersey wakes up from his dream has been cut out too. The further cuts include the cpr of Kersey's ladyfriend's daughter (every episode of "ER" is more grisly than this!), a black drug dealer juggling in electric wires, ugly shots of drug-related corpses (funny editing, though; the coroner says that the next unfolded body is a boy whose cocaine pipe blew to his face, but when the corpse is unfolded, it's a young girl!!!), a black baddie beating Kersey (while Kersey's down on the floor), Kersey beating a thug with a crowbar (uh-oh!), Kersey shooting "fish-factory" workers with an Uzi, Leo Nagazaki in pain before he dies after he's shot by Kersey, the massacre in the oil-field has lost some shooting and just shots of men running and firing their weapons, a shot thug crashing his head to a car window in the oil-field shoot-out, a mob boss' last breaths before he dies after he is shot by you-know-who, Kersey shooting thugs in the rollerskating ring, a dead thug falling to the rollerskating ring, and "Nathan White" shooting Kersey's ladyfriend in the back (the scissorhands have even used soundtrack-altering!). NOTE: The British cert.18-videoversion (above on the right) has been cut 54 seconds (the rape in the beginning is pretty heavily shortened from the muggers terrorising the woman, and ripping her clothes off). The Greek videoversion is uncut.

DEATH WISH 5: THE FACE OF DEATH/Väkivallan Vihollinen 5: Kalman Kasvot/FI/K16/cut 4 min 53 sec! These absolutely stupid cuts (done by the wack distributor) includes O'Shea's thugs cutting fat-Albert's fat gut, a thug slashing Reggie's face, the drag thug bashing Olivia's face to a mirror and some dialogue, thugs frying Reggie's hands and face and interrogating him (almost entirely removed), Freddie burning (very heavily cut), a thug (shot by Kersey) juggling in electric wires, some bloody thug's flesh bits dropping, Kersey slashing O'Shea's face with a broken bottle, and some shots of O'Shea melting in the waxpot. NOTE: The Finnish dvd-version is uncut, and rated K18. The Danish video released by Scanbox is uncut.

DEEP RED/Verenpunainen Kauhu/Murhan Melodia/FIx/cut approx. 40 sec. Both FIx-versions (above on the left, and middle) have the same cuts (same master-tape). 1.The murder of Helga has only one chopping from the cleawer intact. 2.The murder of the professor is shortened; all the removings of his front teeth are no more and the knive-in-to-the-back-of-the-head is no more. 3.The head-crushing of Carlo is removed. 4.The cruel decapitation of the murderer is just a shadow of what it's in the uncut version. And adding to those cuts, this version is the dubbed US one, which has the plot heavily (and annoyingly) thickened. NOTE: The Finnish bootleg video (titled "Profondo Rosso") released by Inferno Video (above on the right) is completely uncut, widescreen, and contains an Italian soundtrack with Finnish subtitles. The Anchor Bay dvd is fully uncut, and widesreen. The British cert.18-videoversion is trimmed by 11 seconds: a shot of two dogs fighting (oh come on, BBFC!) has been cut out, and a sadistic girl impaling a lizard has been trimmed (therefore completely eliminating any logic for the following shot of her dad slapping her).

DELTA FORCE/FI/K16/cut 11 sec. This lame actioner was one of the first movies ever butchered by VET on video. The cuts are on the beating of the US mariner on the lobby of the plane. NOTE: The Finnish dvd-version rated K16 released in the 90's is widescreen and uncut. The Swedish videoversion is cut 3 minutes and 57 seconds!!! Uh-oh!

DEMONIC TOYS/Pirulliset Lelut/FI/K16/cut 52 sec. The shortened scenes include the demon-possessed motherfucker who sells illegal weapons being hit by a back of a shotgun, and the demon transformed as the dead cop ripping his own eyes out. NOTE: The German dvd (contains an English soundtrack) is uncut. The US videoversion released by Paramount is uncut (rated 'R').

DESPERADO/FI/K16/cut 38 sec. This already cut version (cut by MPAA for an R-rating) suffered some cuts for a K16-rating for video, the theatrical version in Finland was the "uncut" R-version with an K18-rating. The cuts for the video release in Finland include: 1.Cristos punching and roundhouse kicking the freshman in the head (very heavily cut), and breaking his leg. 2.Mexican thug blasting Pick-up Guy's (Quentin Tarantino) head to kingdom come (shown behind The Pick-up Guy's head). 3.El Mariachi (Antonio Banderas) kicking a Mexican thug into the air and blasting him (the bullet-impacts cut). And 4.The shot of El Mariachi and Carolina (Salma Hayek) running over Bucho's right hand (not his actual HAND, if you know what I mean..) with a Jeep is no more. NOTE: The Finnish videoversion re-release by Cinema Club has been accidentally released uncut (the R-rated version with no additional cuts, that is) with an K16-rating! The front- and backcover art is almost indentical with the cut one (the only difference is that in the uncut, there's an Cinema Club logo on the side). The Finnish dvd-version (a double feature creature with "El Mariachi") is the R-rated version without any further cuts (and widescreen) with a K18-rating.

DIE HARD/Vain Kuolleen Ruumiini Yli/FI/K16/cut 1 min 47 sec. The rental vhs released by none other than Showtime is the only Finnish version that is cut. NOTE: The sale-through vhs and the widescreen dvd versions are uncut, and rated K16. The Finnish theatrical version passed uncut with a K18-rating at the time.

DIRTY HARRY/Likainen Harry/FI/K16/cut 35 sec. A shot of Scorpio pulling the knife out from his leg is removed, the scene where the black man beats the crap out of Scorpio is heavily cut, and Dirty Harold himself (Clint Eastwood) torturing Scorpio in the stadium is briefly shortened. NOTE: The dvd-version (widescreen) was passed uncut with a K16-rating in Finland. The Finnish dvd re-release (with a K15-rating) is also uncut, widescreen, and contains some extras. The Swedish videoversion is very heavily cut (much times more than the cut FI tape!).

DJANGO/FIx/cut 9 sec. The original cult movie from the great Sergio Corbucci suffered some seconds of censoring from the distributor. The scene where Django's (Franco Nero) hands are beaten to pulp is shortened. NOTE: The US dvd from Blue Undergound (a part of the "Spaghetti Western Collection") is completely uncut (it was transferred from the original camera negative, and contains a few snippets of footage missing from all other versions!), anamorphic widescreen, and contains an Italian soundtrack, and English subtitles (the disc also contains the inferior optional English-language soundtrack).

DOBERMANN/FI/K16/cut 40 sec. One cut is to remove a lenghty shot showing Christini's messy mutilated body. NOTE: The Finnish theatrical version passed uncut with a K18-rating. The British video and widesreen dvd are certified '18' ('Passed 18 for strong hyper-violence, sex and drugs' !) and uncut.

THE DOGS OF WAR/Sodan Koirat/FI/K16/cut 14 min 43 sec. Because this is a fairly violent film, a lot have thought, that these cuts were to violence when they've look at the lenght on cut lists, but after I made a serious investigation, I found out the following - When this piece was released in the US, the distributed heavily removed scenes from its original British print, because as we all know, the American audience don't like too long movies (or at least that's what the CEOs think). I guess, because the 14 minutes 43 seconds couldn't have been made just for violence, because there's isn't that much violence in the whole film, that the US version was released in Finland. The scenes, that the US distributor cut out, are as follows: 1.A scene of a baby being baptized in a church, and Jamie (Christopher Walken) being the godfather. 2.The scene outside the church, where the baptized boy's mother tells Jamie not to contact them. 3.The scene of Jamie getting a spy camera from his friend. 4.Jamie walking some stairs in the street, and asking a little street boy Do you have a godfather? 5.The drunken Jamie tries to call his ex-wife, but he doesn't have the guts to talk. 6.One snippet cut from a scene; Jamie's ex-wife says to her dad that she's going out, and her dad asks her to bring out more ice. 7.A scene where Jamie's ex-wife, and her dad have a big argument in the kitchen. 8.Jamie opens the door for his ex-wife coming to dinner, and they chat a little bit. 9.A scene in the bedroom, where Jamie and Jamie's ex-wife argue about Jamie's ex-father-in-law, and Jamie getting paid for killing people. 10.A short scene of Jamie talking to the drinking ship captain. 11.Jamie having an argument with the British arms stealer about the gun shipment, at the Hotel Miguel. 12.Jamie arriving at the ship, and his papers being checked. 13.The ship leaving, and Jamie giving the ship captain his praisings. 14.The soldiers finding the bridge being turned away, and some soldiers swimming to fix it, and the soldiers then moving along. Well, that's it. These cuts total about 14 to 15 minutes. These all are perfectly good scenes that really improve the whole film (especially the scene in the church is excellent), and the US distributor should've got their heads examined for removing them. The censorings in the Finnish vid total to 48 seconds and were made by the distributor, probably applied to the torture scenes. NOTE: The Finnish videoversion re-release (a part of the "Contemporary Classics" series, Dolby Surround Stereo soundtrack, and with a K15-rating) is the full uncut version, that has all the scenes cut in the US version intact, and all the violence intact also! The British cert.15-videoversion is cut 5 seconds (presumably from the graphic torture of the assassin).

DON'T GO NEAR THE PARK/Pimeyden Puisto/FIx/cut. Some scenes have been cut pretty poorly (like the scene in the beginning where the man kills the boy in the river), and some not-so-poorly (the granny ripping a girl's guts out - the most graphic shot being replaced with a freeze frame). By the way, isn't it nice that this movie stars Alan Alda... The videocover says that. Actually it's Aldo Ray! Everything is allowed in love, war, and videocovers, I guess. NOTE: There are two FIx tapes released (one by Dollar Video, and the other by Magnum Video [above]) - they both contain the same cuts. The US R-rated version has some of the violence cut out. "Don't Go Near The Park" is still banned in the UK.

DON'T TORTURE A DUCKLING/Kauhujen Kylä/FIx/cut 1 min 55 sec. Two scenes are heavily shortened: The village thugs beating a woman with chains pretty graphically, and several shots of the murderer's face smashing to a cliff over and over again. NOTE: The Anchor Bay dvd is uncut and anamorphic widescreen, and the Netherlands' videoversion is uncut too (though it is cropped from the original aspect ratio of 2.35:1 to just 1.78:1).

DOUBLE IMPACT/Kaksoisisku/FI/K16/cut 1 min 12 sec. The cuts in this one of the best J-C Van Damme-vechicles include - 1.The scene in the beginning, where Chad's (Jean-Claude Van Damme) and Alex's (Jean-Claude Van Damme!) parents are blown away by Triads, has lost a couple of seconds. 2.Moon (excellent Bolo Yeung) snaps the Oriental henchman's neck, but not in the Finnish videoversion. 3.Alex snapping an Oriental guard's neck in the factory (poorly cut). 4.Chad shooting an Oriental guard with a machine gun in the factory. 5.Two sequences of the thugs and Griffith torturing Frank with hot steam have been shortened a bit. 6.The fight between Moon and Chad is shortened from three parts; Chad kicking Moon to the head in a high jump (poorly cut), the second high kick from Chad to Moon's head is also shortened a couple of frames, and Moon fries in the electric circuits lesser time. NOTE: The Finnish dvd-version is rated K18, uncut, and anamorphic widescreen. The Finnish theatrical version (rated K18!!!) was cut by few seconds. The UK versions are uncut.

DRAGONHEART/Viimeinen Lohikäärme/K12/cut. The Finnish special edition dvd-version (widescreen) is the same as the UK disc, which had the sound-fx of numerous battle scenes reduced to qualify for an 'PG' certificate. But when you switch the English soundtrack off to a foreign dubbed one, you can listen the battle scene sound-effects uncensored! NOTE: The Finnish videoversion (also rated K12) is uncut and uncensored. The US special edition dvd-version (R1, widescreen) is uncut and uncensored.

DRAGON - THE BRUCE LEE STORY/Dragon/FI/K16/cut 28 sec. The Finnish dvd-version is the same as the British disc, which has 28 seconds of BBFC cuts (24 seconds to cinema, and a further 4 seconds to video) to the nunchuck action in the climatic scenes of Bruce Lee fighting the Demon (some minor shots of the nunchucks have remained, but all the content of them twirled has been removed). NOTE: The Finnish videoversion (rated K16) is uncut.

DRIVE/FI/K16/cut 13 sec. VET just didn't allow this cool Mark Dacascos actioner to be released uncut with a K16, so the distributor at least trimmed the severing of an arm by a chainsaw (!). NOTE: The Finnish dvd-version released in 2001 with a K18-rating is uncut, and widescreen! The UK dvd-version (certified '18') is the Director's Cut, which has all the violence intact, and several deleted scenes put back in, and a new musical score (the disc also is widescreen and features good extras).

DROP ZONE/Drop Zone - Pudotusalue/FI/K16/cut 10 sec. The Finnish widescreen dvd of this Wesley Snipes actioner is same as the UK dvd, which has 10 seconds of cuts by the BBFC for an '15' certificate. The cuts are to a close-up of Swoop being kicked in the toilet, and the fight of Yancy Butler vs the baddie chick has lost copies of the baddie chick's crushed face pouring out the machine, and a reaction-shot from Butler. NOTE: The Finnish K16-rated videoversion is uncut.

E:

EDWARD SCISSORHANDS/Saksikäsi Edward/FIc/K9/cut 15 sec. Only the Finnish cinema-version has suffered cuts. The cuts have been made to the fight between Jim and Edward Scissorhands. The FI-version on video is uncut (rated K12). NOTE: The Finnish dvd-version (matted widescreen) is also uncut with a K12-rating. The British videoversion has been cut 15 seconds from the fight of Jim and Edward Scissorhands (the hits from the crowbar are shortened from eight to two, and a kick to the stomach is deleted). The Swedish videoversion is cut 24 seconds! Now, who are the real scissorhands, eh?

EI RUUMIITA MAKUUHUONEESEEN/FIc/cut 33 sec. 1959 Finnish film from director Aarne Tarkas. The "acid" murder scene was shortened during its release after demands from VET, who wanted to rid the movie, using their own words, "from the bad taste"! NOTE: The Finnish vhs (rated K16!) possibly is uncut.

ELOKUU/FIc/cut. VET demanded that this acclaimed Finnish film be cut during its release in 1956. Love scenes between Viktor and Maija have been cut, and the "barn love" (!), using VET's expression, between Iitta and Matti was shortened. NOTE: The Finnish videoversion, rated K16, might well be uncut.

EMANUELLE IN AMERICA/Emanuelle Amerikassa/FIx/cut 31 sec. This infamous title has been released in a severely cut version with no hard-core sexual footage intact in the original master-tape, and the distributor have themselves shortened the viewings of the infamous "real" snuff films (which include a muddled rape, a woman's vagina being hooked, a chick being forced to drink hot oil, and the cutting up of a woman's nipples). NOTE: The British cert.18-videoversion is cut 18 minutes 52 seconds!!!!! Holy fuck! The Danish video is uncut, but contains no English soundtrack, or subtitles (with the afore mentioned being French, and the latter Danish). The US video is very heavily cut, chopping out almost ALL of the sexual content, and snuff footage. The Netherlands' videoversion has lost some seconds due to print damages. The US Blue Underground dvd contains an English soundtrack, and is completely uncut, and anamorphic widescreen!

EMMANUELLE/FI/K18/cut 31 sec. The Finnish widescreen dvd unfortunately seems to be the same disc as the UK dvd (certified '18'), which had 38 seconds worth of censoring applied by the dear chaps at the BBFC. The scene where the guys force themselves on Emmanuelle (Sylvia Kristel) was cut, as the British Board of Film Censors comment: "To obtain this category cuts of 0m 38s were required. The cuts were Compulsory. Cut required to an eroticised scene of sexual violence, in accordance with BBFC guidelines". NOTE: The UK video (certified '18', widescreen) is cut 1 minute and 25 seconds - some cuts were waived for the UK dvd. The FIx tape is uncut.

EMPEROR OF THE NORTH/Julmat, Vahvat, Ja Röyhkeät/FI/K16/cut. The distributor Europe Vision must have been afraid, that this wouldn't pass the K16-rating, so they cut sissy violence. The scenes where the wacko conductor bashes the bums in the train with his loyal cane and some shooting are shortened. NOTE: The Swedish videoversion is cut 2 minutes 58 seconds. The British cert.15-videoversion is cut 3 seconds.

THE ENFORCER/Murskaaja/FI/K16/cut 8 sec. This third Dirty Harry-flick has only one scene shortened; the stabbing of a cop in the beginning has been trimmed by some seconds (a cut made by VET). NOTE: The Finnish dvd-version (widescreen) with a K18-rating is not cut. The Finnish theatrical version (rated K18) was trimmed by 11 seconds (presumably similar cuts as in the video). The Swedish videoversion is cut 1 minute and 39 seconds.

ENTRAPMENT/Ansa Viritetty/FI/K12/cut 1 sec. All Finnish dvd-versions are the same as the UK ones, so they have the BBFC censoring (made to avoid the '15' certificate); Ving Rhames' dialogue I said, sit the fuck down has been altered to I said, sit your butt down. NOTE: The Finnish videoversion is rated K12, and uncut.

ESCAPE FROM ABSOLOM/Pako Absolomista/FI/K16/cut 21 sec. The distributor hacked this crap actioner-whatever, and the Finnish videoversion has missing the next things: 1.Robbins throwing a spear at Ralph is reduced. 2.The decapitation of the tattood bald man has been shortened (poorly). 3.Robbins snapping a enemy thug's neck is deleted. 4.Several shots of a guy burning are removed. 5.Robbins stabbing the nerd in the water. 6.Merek getting a steak to his stomach is removed. NOTE: The Finnish theatrical version (rated K18 at the time) is uncut. The British cert.15-videoversion (titled "No Escape", this movie has a billion a.k.a.s, as probably all movie hounds know) is cut one second: Merek getting a steak to his tummy, is omitted.

EVIL DEAD/Kauhun Riivaamat/FIx/cut 11 min 50 sec. All the violence has been cut (and that's a lot!), this means the pencil-in-to-the-foot-scene is cut, and so is the bloody axe scene, the tree rape scene has been cut, Ash (Bruce Campell) cutting Linda's head off and killing deadites in the middle and especially in the end, and the dying of the deadites in the end (done in wacky stop-motion) are cut too. Thanks a lot, distributor! This version makes the British cert.18-videoversion (cut 2 min 5 sec!) look like a bloodbath. NOTE: There's also some shady reports about a FI video (rated K16), which would be even more cut than the FIx-version! The Finnish 2003 dvd- and theatrical versions are rated K18, crudely matted widescreen (1.85:1), and uncut. The Anchor Bay "Book Of The Dead" dvd edition (available in the US and in the UK) is matted anamorphic 1.85:1 widescreen, and is missing a shot of a lightning hitting a tree - this was removed by the request of director Sam Raimi, who thought that it looked too fake. The US Elite Entertainment dvd is fully uncut, and with a full frame image (which is the original aspect ratio).

THE EVIL THAT MEN DO/Pirullinen Kosto/FIx/cut 1 min 9 sec. This good Charles Bronson thriller had the distributor's censor wrath. At least the opening torturing has been heavily cut, and the climax has lost a shot of the Doc's bloody body. NOTE: The Finnish dvd-version (anamorphic widescreen, rated K18) is uncut! The British cert.18 versions (video and the dvd [which both are even pan & scan full screen!]) are cut 1 minute and 2 seconds (presumably from the torture scenes).

THE EXTERMINATOR/Exterminator - Teloittaja/FIx/K18/cut 10 min 37 sec!!! Yes, over 10 minutes cut, how nice... Lots of distributors released "Exterminator" before the video act in the 80's in Finland, but only one distributor, VTC-video, released it uncut (middle). Later VTC-video had a re-issue of the movie (left), and it was identical to the Finnish cinema-version (which ran in Finnish cinemas in the early 80's) which was cut over 10 minutes by VET to archieve an K18-rating! The massive cuts are as follows: 1.The infamous decapitation (later on the film, an ultra-fast glimpse of this scene is shown uncut in a flashback). 2.A Nam-soldier walking from the bleeding torso body wiping his machete. 3.A Nam soldier trying to remove a wire from his bleeding throat. 4.Michael shooting a Nam soldier. 5.A Nam soldier fusing in flames. 6.A Nam soldier running to water in flames. 7.Ginty shooting the Nam-leader who is in the water (later on the film, this same shot is shown in an even more graphic angle in a flashback, completely uncut!). 8.The "Ghetto Ghouls" beating Michael (almost completely cut, all the actual beating deleted). 9.THE WHOLE SCENE where Gino Pontivini hangs in ropes under a meat grinding machine, and Ginty goes to his house, and kills his guardian dog etc, and then Ginty comes back, and turns Pontivini to corned beef. These whole scenes are actually cut out (in a row)!!! 10.The whole scene including a pimp taking a whore to the "Chicken Place" and the wacko senator then frying her (off-screen). 11.Ginty blowing the senator's balls off. The cuts last together so long pretty much because of the "Pontivini"-scene runs about seven minutes. NOTE: The FIx-version released by Omaxi (right) has been trimmed "only" 33 seconds: The decapitation is (of course) shortened and the seconds proceeding it have gone (19 secs), the scene where the "Ghetto Ghouls" beat Michael has lost a glimpse of the leader stabbing him in the back with a spike-glowe (6 secs), and we don't see Gino Pontivini going out from the meat grinding machine as bloody corned beef (8 secs). The FIx-version released by Arbitrage has been cut 1 min 43 sec. The UK versions (certified '18') are cut naturally too (the UK videoversion released prior to the British video act cut 44 seconds, the first BBFC-certified UK videoversion cut 3 minutes and 38 seconds, and the UK videoversion (also dvd) re-release is cut 22 seconds - cuts to the Vietnam decapitation, and to the torture of the hooker [all the Finnish videoversion include material censored from some of the UK prints, such as the making of the dum-dum bullet and the beating of the old hag]), and the rated R-version is cut too from the violence and the ending, where the vigilante Ginty gets away with no punishment, is removed! Yuippii... But lucky for us, the Danish video is completely uncut, and so is the Finnish dvd- and videoversions (widescreen, rated K18) released in 2001 by Future Film, and so is the region free widescreen dvd-version released by Anchor Bay too!

EXTERMINATOR 2/FIx/cut 3 min 40 sec. The notorious distributor Video Express Scandinavia released this sequel (produced by the legendary Cannon Group) to the vigilante-classic, but they needed the following material to their own purposes: 1.The robbing of the liquer store completely deletes a mugger bashing the old lady, the old man getting hit with a bottle, and then shot, one of the muggers noticing cops, and then the leader mugger shooting the griefing old lady (31 secs). 2.The blowtorch murders in the alley loses all sights of the burning muggers running in slow-motion, along with the climatic shots of Ginty, and a bodyshot of the gunned down old lady and man (19 secs). 3.After the helicopter's shotdown, the burning pilot squirming around is no more, and a shot of the two witness thugs is also gone (though the translation of the other thug's line That's crazy still remains in the subtitles) (5 secs). 4.In the armoured car heist, the dumster man driving over a body is cut (3 secs). 5.The ritualistic death sequence is well shortened. The cut material has the victim having a red "X" painted to his body with red spray-paint, then the thugs putting him onto the bashed rail, and the victim having electric shocks, while X (Mario Van Beebles) watches this mesmerized (poorly cut 1 min). 6.An entire long sequence, where a rollerskater baddie kidnaps a girl in the streets, and brings her to X's head quarters, where X injects freshly-cooked heroin to her, has been completely deleted (58 secs). 7.The not-so-graphic beating of Caroline loses all the punches and kicks (6 secs). 8.X snapping the neck of the rat thug is shortened (kinda strange cut... the snapping itself is intact, but the two subsequent shots of X squeezing the thug's throat a little more, and then throwing him onto the floor are not) (10 secs). 9.The blowtorch murders near the end are heavily cut - several shots of burning thugs running (and not to mention crawling!) are no more, and also two shots of Ginty are removed (20 secs). 10.The climatic death of X has lost a single shot of his burning body falling through the air in slow-motion (5 secs). NOTE: The British cert.18-videoversion is cut 2 minutes and 39 seconds (the cuts include a gang member twirling nunchucks, the dumster guy fighting the nunchucks thug, and a lot of violence). Those Brits don't tolerate extermination! The Australian version is heavily cut. At least the Netherlands' videoversion is uncut, and so is the US R-rated one too. Also, there seems to be an entire sub-plot cut out from the finished movie, that involved Ginty's regular bar being blown to bits (a lot of this is shown in the theatrical trailer, along with some other stuff not found in the finished movie, and even the FIx-version's back cover has a pic of the bar scene!!). This is a damn shame, because this material looks great (a lot better than what was left in the finished product!).

EXTREME PREJUDICE/Oikeuden Puolesta/FI/K16/cut about 5 min. Even though VET passed the premiere cinema-version of this flick with a K16-rating, and with NO CUTS, the distributor Omaxi went bananas, and did "extreme cutting"; several violent shots prior to the ending (like from the robbery) have been reduced, but the climatic scenes, where people are blown to bits, is extremely heavily censored. The death of numerous characters have been removed completely, and they disappear from the movie like magic. Minutes are cut in a row, and the editing is beyond bad, and the final "mano a mano"-scene is also trimmed extremely poorly. Ugh. NOTE: The FIx-version is uncut, and as well is the Finnish videoversion re-release in the 90's by DVD Productions (rated K16). The Swedish videoversion is cut 1 minute and 32 seconds. The British cert.18-videoversion is cut 19 seconds.

F:

FIGHT CLUB/FI/K16/cut 21 sec.The following spots have had the hacking: 1.Ricky and the waiter fighting is shortened. 2.During a fight, Narrator's (Edward Norton) head being bashed onto the floor several times is deleted. 3.The infamous scene where Narrator beats Angel Face (Jared Leto) to shreds has been cut (the infamous "toothles smile" of Angel Face is missing). 4.Narrator shooting himself, is reduced. NOTE: The Finnish dvd-version (with two discs) released in 2001 (rated K18) is uncut and widescreen. The Finnish cinema-version with a K18-rating is uncut. The British cert.18-versions have been shortened by 4 seconds from the beating of Angel Face, and the beating of Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt).

FIGHT FOR YOUR LIFE/Taistelu Elämästä/FIx/cut 22 sec. Only one scene is cut. The scene where the Oriental crook bashes a little boy's head with a rock is pretty much completely deleted. In the cut version, we don't even see the crook picking the rock up from the ground, just knocking the boy down, and then just leaving the spot. NOTE: This cut master tape was released in the entire of Scandinavia in the 80's, so count the Swedish, and Norwegian videoversions as cut. The UK-version released before the British video act is uncut, and as well is the Netherlands' videoversion (above). The US region-free dvd from Blue Underground is uncut and excellent anamorphic widescreen.

THE FINAL CONFLICT/Omen III - Seitsemän Tikaria/FIx/cut 1 min 29 sec. The cuts include the embassador's brains blowing out, and a couple of not-so-graphic killings. NOTE: The Finnish dvd-version is uncut, and widescreen. The Swedish videoversion is cut 2 minutes 25 seconds. The Swedish film classification's list for cuts has the 'blowing of the senator's brains' cut to huge total of 0:00:00 second/s!!!

FIREWALKER/Tulijalka/FI/K14/cut 7 sec. VET trimmed some rather tame violence from this Chuck Norris vehicle of to archieve the distributor-requested K14-rating. NOTE: The Finnish cinema-version was also rated K14, and contained the exact same cuts as the videoversion.

THE FIRST GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY/Kultajuna/FI/K12/cut 32 sec. The Finnish dvd-version is exactly the same as the UK dvd, which has BBFC cuts totalling 32 seconds (the UK disc is certified '15'). The BBFC comments: "The cuts were Compulsory. Cuts required to sight of ratting under the terms of the Cinematograph Films ( Animals ) Act 1937". Yippee... NOTE: The UK videoversion is certified '15' and has cuts totalling 12 seconds (as the UK cinema-version), so the BBFC seems to have advanced the cuts list over the years... The Finnish videoversion (also rated K12) is uncut. The US dvd-version (widescreen) is uncut.

A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS (PER UN PUGNO DI DOLLARI) /Kourallinen Dollareita/FI/K16/cut approx. 1 min 20 sec. The distributor made "a fistful of cuts" to this western classic presented on widescreen; 1.The shooting on the little boy is shorter. 2.The scene, where thugs beat the crap out of The Man With No Name (Clint Eastwood) is shortened. 3.Clint's guard getting squashed with a big wine barrel is shortened. 4.The scene, where the thugs push down a burning cigarette upside down the hotel manager's mouth is (poorly) shortened. 5.A close-up of blood dripping from Gian Maria Volonte's mouth is no more. NOTE: The Finnish anamorphic widescreen dvd (rated K15) is uncut, but there are some reports of the framing being a little inaccurate. The British dvd certified '15' is uncut, (non-anamorphic) widescreen, and remastered. The Swedish videoversion is cut 2 minutes and 59 seconds.

FIST OF FURY/Lohikäärmeen Nyrkki/FI/K16/cut 6 min 26 sec!!! The scene where Lee fights the rival school with nunchucks is almost completely deleted, Lee killing the spies is shortened (along with Lee's dialogue Why did you kill my teacher?), the battle between the Russian and Lee is shortened, and the groovy sword-scene is naturally shortened. NOTE: The Finnish dvd-version (anamorphic ws, rated K18) is uncut! The British cert.18-videoversion is cut 2 minutes 51 seconds (!), losing all the nunchuck-scenes along with some violence (Lee's climaxing high kick from the final battle). The Swedish videoversion (above on the right) is shortened about 25 seconds; Lee killing the spies is reduced, and the battle of Lee vs the Russian has been briefly cut from two spots. The UK widescreen dvd-version (cert.18) is uncut and remastered.

THE FLASH/FI/K14/cut 46 sec. The motherfucker distributor Fazer trimmed this symbiose of two first episodes of the tv-series "The Flash", made into a feature. The cuts are as follows - *The death of Jay is almost completely removed. *The scene where Pike beats the crap out of Flash with a crowbar has been shortened heavily from three parts; Pike starting to beat Flash, Pike beating Flash in the entrance of the other room, and a brief cut of Pike hitting Flash hard, and therefore dropping him to the shaft. The distributor cut 28 seconds, and VET applied an additional 18 seconds. NOTE: The Finnish videoversion re-issue (as an edition of Warner Home Collection, also rated K14) is the same cut version. The UK videoversion certified 'PG' is uncut.

FLATFOOT/Lättäjalka/FI/K16/cut about 4 min. The distributor VTC-video crushed every Finnish Bud Spencer fan's hopes, dreams, and desires by trimming this flick from the scene where Buddie bashes the mafia boss in the stairs, and the big final brawl has been severely (and extremely poorly) cut from the head-punches about 4 minutes. The fact that the movie is even on widescreen, doesn't make the viewing that much better, because of the disturbing cuts... As far as I know, both Fix tapes are as cut. NOTE: The Swedish videoversion is cut, and so is the British cert.15-videoversion too (13 seconds). How nice...

FLAVIA THE HERETIC/Pahuuden Luostari/Flavian Verinen Kosto/FIx/cut. ATTIC would like some information about the lenght of the cuts. The horse castration is mostly removed, some nipple-burnings are no more, and the final punishment scene, where Flavia is skinned alive, is deleted. The FIx-version is available in two different covers as shown above. The one titled "Pahuuden Luostari" (left), and the other titled "Flavian Verinen Kosto" (right). Both versions have the same cuts (same master-tape). NOTE: The British cert.18-videoversion is cut 1 minute 24 seconds (a lot of these cuts intact in the cut FIx-version!). The US dvd from Synapse Films is uncut and widescreen.

THE FLY/Kärpänen/FIx/cut approx. 3 min. The distributor cut this 1986 version of the classic tale really good. 1.A shot of a monkey turned to corned beef is missing. 2.The arm-wrestling scene has been shortened. 3.Shots of Brundle (Jeff Goldblum) ripping his fingernails have been removed. 4.A shot of Brundle turning into a fly losing his ear is no more. 5.The ugly "abortion" dream is shortened. 6.The scene where Brundle pukes acid to Veronica's boss' hand and foot are is almost completely removed. 7.Brundle losing his jaw and turning into the fly completely is much shorter. NOTE: The Finnish theatrical version (rated K18!) had 10 seconds of VET cuts applied to Brundle puking acid on Veronica's boss. The British cert.18-videoversion is uncut.

THE FLY II/Kärpänen 2/FI/K16/cut 4 min 37 sec! The goo' ol' distributor Showtime picked up their busy scissors, and hacked this crappy sequel of the 1986 classic. 1.The birth-sequence before the opening credits has lost totally 18 shots of the doctors wondering about the slimy cocoon, and Ronnie (Geena Davis) going into shock (all of the cpr is omitted too!). 2.Birth-sequence: just before the opening credits, 21 seconds of the doctors removing baby Martin from the cocoon. 3.When the mutated dog has attacked the scientist, 7 seconds of the scientist screaming while looking his mutilated hand, and his co-workers restraining the dog, have gone. 4.The doctor's injection on Martin going wrong, is not going so wrong in this version, thanks to the scissorhands. 5.The scene, where Martin, now turned into The Fly, comes out from his cocoon, is very heavily cut, for a reason unknown to mankind. 6.The bodyshot of Dr Jainway's corpse is omitted (poorly). 7.The strangest cut: The Fly (with the dead doctor with him) trying to open a door (!). Also the lines Its got a security guard, and Freeze the code! are deleted (!!). 8.The cruel fly-acid-to-the-face scene is very heavily cut. Also some dialogue about can The Fly go to the room where Bartok is, is cut for some reason. 9.The whole scene where The Fly walks away from the acid-to-the-face victim, and the guards find him, is completely removed. 10.The Fly running away, and armed guards running after it, is cut (what in Earth is the justfication for this cut ?!!!). 11.The gory head squishing of Hargis is very heavily cut (along with the line Get out of there, Hargis!). 12.A close-up of a black doctor, who's shot in the face, and the entire death of Scorby is deleted (along with the line Fuck!). 13.Now here's a loony cut: The final scene has lost the Bartok-creature licking the dinner cup, and spotting the fly in the edge of it (why in the name of humanity is this cut?! Does someone know? Anyone..? At all?!). NOTE: The Finnish theatrical version (rated K18) was cut about 10 seconds (the fly-acid-in-the-face was too much for VET).

FLY AWAY HOME/Tyttö Ja Villihanhet/FI/S/cut 2 sec. The Finnish widescreen dvd of this family movie seems to be the same as the UK dvd, which has 2 seconds of BBFC cuts: the expletive Holy shit is removed for the 'U' BBFC certificate. NOTE: The Finnish theatrical- and videoversions are uncut.

A FORCE OF ONE/Yhden Miehen Armeija/FI/K16/cut 1 min 28 sec. At least the following has had the scissors' wrath from this movie's K16-rated FI video: 1.The scene where the "hunk" baddie fucks up Matt Logan's (Chuck Norris) adopted nerd son, is almost totally removed. 2.The final battle has lost the conclusion (poorly cut). NOTE: The FIx-version (Finnish title also "Yhden Miehen Armeija") released by the distributor Omaxi (the same that released the chopped up version after the video act) is uncut. There is also another FIx-version, which's Finnish title is "Kehäkettu" (which on the video cover claims to be "the most uncut version in Scandinavia"!!!), and it has the scene of the nerd son vs the "hunk" baddie shortened. The FIx-version released by Videotrage (above on the right) is also uncut. The Finnish dvd (titled "Yhden Miehen Armeija") from Future Film is uncut, and rated K15. The British versions (cut 1 minute 2 seconds) have cuts to the scene in the lot, where Logan fights off a baddie armed with nunchucks (this is intact in all the Finnish versions).

FORCED VENGEANCE/Kovat Nyrkit/FIx/cut 7 min 41 sec. Almost every fight of Chuck Norris vs the thugs have been shortened. Some entire scenes have been deleted, and a cruel fight shown in slow-motion is shown opposite the credits, but is cut when it occures in the movie itself! NOTE: The British cert.18-videoversion is cut 50 seconds.

FORTRESS/Linnoitus/FI/K16/cut 1 min 39 sec. The sadism was cut by VET from this film by Stuart Gordon, starring the king of wood logs, Chris Lambert. The cuts are as follows: 1.Just as the guard catches Brennick's (Guess who? Lambert) wife, Brennick twisting the guard's hand, and punching him, has gone (4 secs). 2.The bloodhounds graphically ripping Brennick's leg, has been shortened (11 secs). 3.The claustrophobic prisoner's stomach-burst is deleted, with soundtrack-altering (1 sec). The fight between Maddox, and Brennick is literally cut to, using a technical term, shit: 4.The fight between Maddox, and Brennick; lost Maddox smashing Brennick to the stairs, and the railings (7 secs). 5.The fight between Maddox, and Brennick; right after Brennick has risen from under the bridge, Maddox kicking him in the face, and Brennick kicking Maddox up the balls, and in the face (resulting in an juicy close-up of Maddox spitting blood!), have all gone (8 secs). 6.The fight between Maddox, and Brennick; Maddox picking Brennick up, and starting to crush him, then Brennick answering to him with a punch, and a head-butt, and then Maddox punching him four times, have all been cut in a row (20 secs!). 7.The fight between Maddox, and Brennick; Brennick biting Maddox's hand during their struggle, is completely cut (4 secs). 8.The fight between Maddox, and Brennick; Brennick kicking Maddox up the balls, has been completely deleted (terribly edited by 3 secs). 9.The legendary (er... well, almost!) stomach-explosion of Maddox has been cut; the explosion itself is intact, but the "further ado", where the guys just observe Maddox's huge bleeding hole in his stomach, has been deleted (18 secs!). 10.In Brennick's hallucination (when he's plugged into the wee-wee machine), him gouging his own eyes out, has been well shortened (12 secs). 11.The shooting of Maddox's buddy has been reduced (2 secs). 12.The last breaths of Maddox's buddy, is deleted (5 secs). 13.An intercut of Karen stabbing Poe (always excellent Kurtwood Smith) the second time and Brennick bashing a clone soldier in the head, has been deleted (3 secs). 14.The shooting of D-Day (wacky Jeffrey Combs) is reduced (1 sec). NOTE: The Finnish dvd-version (with a K16-rating), has 5 seconds worth of cuts (same as the UK DVD); the stomach-explosion, and the shooting of D-Day. The dvd has all the cuts in the cut FI-version restored, except of course for the cuts on the dvd (though the stomach-explosion is more full). It's probably something on the master-side, because the British cert.18-videoversion is uncut, and the US dvd features these exact same cuts too. The Finnish cinema-version (with a K18-rating at the time), was passed uncut.

FRENZY/Solmiokuristaja/FI/K16/cut 11 sec. The cuts were applied by the distributor prior to VET submission to the rape scene. NOTE: The Finnish dvd-version is uncut and anamorphic widescreen. FIx-videoversion is uncut. The British 18-certified videoversion is cut 19 seconds from the main rape scene.

THE FRIGHTENERS/Kummituskopla/FI/K16/cut 1 sec. The Finnish dvd of this Peter Jackson's horror-comedy is the same as the UK disc, which features the BBFC cut (made to avoid an '18' certificate). The head-explosion of Dammers (Jeffrey Combs) has been cut and slightly re-edited: the uncut version shows Dammers' head exploding gorily, leaving his ghost face confused when the head is off, then cutting to Bannister (Michael J. Fox) falling backwards. The BBFC-approved version has just a few first frames of the explosion, then showing Bannister falling backwards, and then showing Dammers confused ghost face (so the head itself exploding is pretty much all omitted). NOTE: The Finnish videoversion (rated K16) is uncut. The US R-rated dvd is uncut and widescreen. The great US Signature Collection laserdisc contains a "director's cut", with 10 minutes of good additional scenes, and great extras (release it on motherfuckin' dvd, NOW!).

FRIGHT NIGHT/Kauhun Yö/FI/K16/cut 3 min 1 sec. The cuts in this heavily cut FI-version (above on the left) include shots of a pencil being through a vampire's hand, Peter Vincent the vammpirrre killer torturing Evil, and Evil transforming to the weirdo creature. The final battle, where the vampire is melted, is heavily shortened as well. NOTE: The FIx-version released by Esselte (above on the right) is uncut. The Finnish dvd-version (widescreen) released in 2001 with a K18-rating is uncut.

FROM DUSK 'TILL DAWN/Hämärästä Aamunkoittoon/FI/K16/cut 1 min 19 sec. The cuts are as follows: Richie Gecko (Tarantino) shooting the ranger (Michael Parks) in the head in the pre-credits-sequence, Richie kicking Chet Pussy (Cheech Marin) in the entrance of the Titty Twister, Richie stabbing the bartender (Danny Trejo), a vampire chick slitting a man's throat open in the "dinner is served" sequence, severed heads flying through the air in the "dinner is served" sequence, Seth Gecko (George Clooney) hitting a wooden steak to Richie's heart, Jacob (Harvey Keitel) pushing a shotgun through Frost (Fred "baaad mothafucka" Williamson) and shooting other vampires. NOTE: The Finnish dvd-version (widescreen) released in 2001 with a K18-rating is uncut. The German videoversion is extremely heavily cut, the whole pre-credits-sequence is example cut (uh-oh!). There has been some rumors of the movie being cut to get an R-rating, but I doubt it (like the allegedly trimmed-for-the-R scene of a vampire's stomach opening, and slicing a trucker's throat, is present in the making-of documentary "Full Tilt Boogie", which passed uncut with an R-rating from the MPAA!). Given that these so-called trimmed-for-the-R scenes (a vampire pimple being squeezed etc) are so radically different from the rest of the movie, I suggest that the director took them out on purpose.

THE FURY/Pahan Voima/FIx/cut 58 sec. The telepathic (or should I say telepathetic) girl making her teacher going bleeding is shortened, the telepathic man making a woman spinning around in the air and spreading blood all over is deleted, and the gory finale is extremely heavily cut. NOTE: The Finnish widescreen dvd is uncut and rated K18.
